To Our Amichai Community

It has been 12 years since we first gathered together to observe the High Holy Days. During that time, we have prayed together; welcomed in the New Year; examined the quickly-evolving world around us and how we interact with it; and considered ourselves, our lives, through deep introspection. Over the last two years we have done so within the greater context of our society plagued by a pandemic. We hope our time together has brought greater meaning and perspective into our lives.

We wish to inform you that Amichai will not be conducting High Holiday services this coming Fall, 2022. Our world has rapidly changed and with these changes we have a wider array of options for attendance at religious services. Certainly, our local brick-and-mortar synagogues offer religious services, and with the intrusion of the pandemic, synagogues near and far have adapted giving us all the ability to attend services in-person or virtually regardless of location.

Amichai will continue to conduct all life cycle events including B’nai Mitzvah, weddings, funerals, and baby namings. We hope you will continue to call upon us.

With heartfelt and endless gratitude to our Amichai professional staff and to all of you who partnered with us in our quest for accessibility and deep meaning, we wish you a wonderful Summer.
 Warmly,
Rabbi Debra Nesselson
