IN SORROW AND IN SOLIDARITY
A PRAYER FOR THE PEOPLE OF ISRAEL

We are devastated by the unprovoked, barbarous terror attacks by Hamas on the Israeli people including the murderous slaughter, kidnap of hundreds of Israelis and injuries to thousands. With all of our hearts we stand in solidarity with the nation of Israel and pray for a just resolution to this conflict.

We think of our loved ones who live there, to those who live close to the Gazan border, to those who lost loved ones, to those kidnapped, to the Israeli government charged with protecting its citizens, to the soldiers called up for active duty, and to Palestinians living in Gaza who have no association with Hamas.

For those held captive, we pray for their safe return and that once again from the streets of Jerusalem will be heard the cries of joy as we collectively move to a better future together.

May the One who brings peace on high bring peace to our people and all people.

Rabbi Debra Nesselson

Amen.
Warmly,

Rabbi Debra Nesselson
